Each week, we host 5–10 classes on basic skills, such as cooking and budgeting or lectures on various topics.

All Greenhouse Ministries’ classes are 100% FREE, thanks to our wonderful teachers, who volunteer their time and resources. If you are interested in knowing more about our classes, or even teaching a class, please email Connie Huddleston.

HiSET (High School Diploma)

HiSet is the new acronym for the GED program, where individuals complete their high school diploma. This is a self-directed program with a faculty member available for questions.

Craft Class

Local crafters come to Greenhouse on the second Tuesday of each month and bring a new craft to be completed in one evening.

Recovery Class

Recovery class is assistance with tools to help an individual continue their road to a new life without trauma.

Painting Class

Local painter comes to Greenhouse two Tuesdays in the month with a new painting for the attendees to complete. This is the Bob Ross style of painting, that is not only fun but relaxing.

Cooking with Beth

Wednesdays are always fun when our cooking instructors assist everyone in the class in making a new recipe that you can take home with you.

ESL Class

English as a Second Language is available for those that want to become more fluent in the English language. We have two instructors that work with the students.

Resume Prep Class

Assistance with preparing a resume to present to employers that is professional.

Sewing with Karen

Sewing class teaches the basics of sewing up to completing projects such as potholders, tote bags, Christmas stockings, pillow covers, and many other projects.

Eating Healthy On a Budget

This course is guided by a medical intern that comes to Greenhouse once a month to assist in cooking to be healthy.

Budgeting 101

Budgeting is a class where the student follows all their spending by writing it down and then transferring to a excel spreadsheet. This is a quick and easy way to assist you in becoming more aware of your spending habits and an easy way to set up a quick and easy monthly budget.

Computer Class

Beginning computer to more advanced computer skills will be taught in this class. New computers allow us to teach from the latest programs
